@  Rutherford : (17 April 2014 - 06:55) JS: off topic but I shot 230 grain 10mm out of a Glock 29 and it was incredible !!!!! whoa...
@  bruce : (16 April 2014 - 19:30) We had five drive-ins in Tyler. Now there are none. And, the downtown shows have all closed up. Movies are shown only at the mall, and maybe one other megaplex. I don't think I'd even bother very often, if I were a kid again there.
@  John Straiton : (16 April 2014 - 07:57) Well Bob,if you never needed a raincoat at the crutial moment at the drive in, I guess you were probably married to the gal. Remember the old saying, "it's always wise to be sure".
@  Rutherford : (16 April 2014 - 06:35) hahaha ! : )
@  bobo : (16 April 2014 - 03:40) Didn't ever need a raincoat John. The rain was always sweet and life giving, like all pure water!!
@  John Straiton : (16 April 2014 - 02:34) Hi Bob,..Well,I hope that you always had your rain coat handy!
@  bobo : (16 April 2014 - 00:37) Going down!!
@  bobo : (16 April 2014 - 00:29) Saturday nite at the drive in with my girl! Don't recall which movies were playing. It was always the submarine races!
@  John Straiton : (15 April 2014 - 19:13) They were even better than that guys! Much better!
@  Rutherford : (15 April 2014 - 04:59) Far .... sexier. The clean cut look of the 60's were / are Smashing.
@  bruce : (14 April 2014 - 20:48) Oh yes, the girls at school with their straight long hair, miniskirts, and no ink or piercings were far sexier.
@  bruce : (14 April 2014 - 20:46) I thought those days were far better, actually, in spite of Vietnam, racial unrest, student protests, acid trips, etc. Not that most of that affected me all that much in Tyler, Tex., but a lot of it did at least on tv and amongst my peers. Music and cars were the best. I had a '69 Torino that I just loved. Wish I still had it.
@  Rutherford : (14 April 2014 - 04:13) Anyways, if any of you guys have photos / likenesses of your classic 50-60's rides then I'd love to see em'.
@  Rutherford : (14 April 2014 - 04:13) I hear ya, Bob. Thumbs up to our great land. Believe me, there's no love lost between some Black and White to this day in Michigan. But again, I'm glad there are Americans like all of us here @ Hingis.org to move our culture along presently. Not that it makes a difference at all but I took a Black girl to the prom. She was / is beautiful.
@  bobo : (14 April 2014 - 03:05) Yes R, cars were in the mix.But more than cars was the longing to connect and love. Without any baggage. No small feat!! Slavery was ended 100 years earlier. Yet there was so much hate and discrimination. Hard to fathom in such a great country. The great music links that I send you R,those wonderful ladies turned the tide on racism for me.
@  Rutherford : (13 April 2014 - 04:23) Bruce & Bobo: Glad you guys likes the Goebel segment from Carson. haha. I wasn't even born at the time but when I first saw that segment about 10 years ago on a Greatest Carson Moments DVD, I was hooked. Actually, kind of envious that you guys enjoyed some true talent in society. Thanks, Bob. haha. A lot of the music you link too reminds me of cars. All the Classic cars. I bet you, Bruce, and many feel the same way. Again, I wasn't around for the 50's and 60's but what can I say?.. seems like a Great time. Just Optimistic ! : )
@  bruce : (12 April 2014 - 17:42) Gobel was a really funny guy, bsck in the days when comedians had to keep it clean. He was on Carson many times. I don't think anyone ever matched Carson as a late night host, but to me, Leno was the second best. Cavett also was very good at it. Real smart man, who could be devastatingly funny.
@  bruce : (12 April 2014 - 17:40) Thanks for the welcome back, everyone. No, assumptions can be folly.
@  bobo : (12 April 2014 - 06:02) Here you go R. https://www.youtube....h?v=TemuLquhDp8
@  bobo : (12 April 2014 - 05:17) Very funny man. I was about 4 years old when we got our first television. 1952. 3 channels. And 10 years later everyone had a TV!

Martina and 'Tash In-my-Bedingfield!!! Both of those women are sooooo in love with me.I hope they didn't talk about me: I don't want them to know about each other ...... on the other hand..... 'menage a trois' is a phrase I've always wanted to learn more about. :D Posted ImageGentlemen, the word you are looking for is "Phwoar!" :D

That line always makes me think of Martina at Roland Garros in `99. Poor kid.

Martina looks great.I think this whole thing is interesting/ I looked up Martina's first two press conferences at the US OPen after her wins. (There does not appear to be a transcript after her loss). There is video on both press conferences. She looks very happy and very attractive in both videos, aas she does in these pictures. This does not exactly seem like a girl struggling through the calling off of her engagement, something that often can be devastating, especially to women.Either Martina is a very good actress, or she is happy to be single again. What I am wondering is, what role if any did this break up play in her third round loss?

I've just realised that Martina lost in the 3rd round of Wimbledon when Radek left England before her and then she losses in the 3rd round again after she breaks up with him...
She played the game with an imperious air, an unheard of flair.

Martina does look happy on these pics. but who knows how she really fealls. Martina was asked by the German speaking media ( after her first match ) if the break up was upsetting her game. And her answer was that it's normal and also many other things which she feels at the moment can influence her game. I hope she overcomes it soon because afterall she broke up the engagement.
